How to add chapters times to PlayList

      1. By default there is always time mark 00:00:00:00. But you can add your times for Scenes. Select needed PlayList and click «Add TimeMark» from popup menu or toolbar.

      1. Select just created TimeMark with time 00:00:00:00 and click on button in Time field from Properties window. In opened dialog select needed time and click Ok.

How to add navigation commands to MovieObject

1. Switch to MovieObjects window. Select appropriate MovieObject, on right side of window you can see commands field. Write any needed navigation commands and click «Compile and assign». Note that only successfully compiled commands will be added to MovieObject.

How to add Browsable slideshow

Before you can add a Browsable slideshow you need to have a file that satisfies several conditions:

  1. Video file must to have sequence of I-Frames.
  2. At the end of the file must be set SEQUENCE_END mark.
  3. Video file must to have special *.spi file with slideshow type and frames delays description. SPI file must be located near video file and have the same name plus additional extension *.spi. For example: video.m2v + video.m2v.spi.

*.spi file has text format. This is *.spi file example: BS

Where, BS — means Browsable Slideshow. 120, 120, 120, 120 — means 4 frames with playing interval between them 120 frames. 1 — means «stop» frame.

  1. Select «Add Video» in Assets window. In OpenFile dialog specify video filename. BD Author will detect *.spi presence and open video as slideshow automatically.

  1. Select video file and click «Generate PlayList» on popup menu. BD Author will generates Clip and then PlayList automatically from selected slideshow file.

  1. In PlayLists window you can see special structured PlayList with 5 PlayItems. This PlayLists will represent slideshow during playback.

How to add Timebased slideshow

Before adding a Time based slideshow we need to have a file that satisfies several conditions:

How to add secondary video (Picture in Picture)

    1. Add video assets for primary and secondary video using Assets window.

    1. Create Clip and add to it primary video and secondary video.

    1. Create PlayList and add PlayItem.

    1. Add SubPath with type 7 — «In-mux and Synchronous type of Picture-in- Picture presentation path».

    1. Add SubPlayItem to the SubPath and connect it to PlayItem.

    1. Select PlayItem and click on «Edit PiP» item from popup menu.
