paper versus plastic frames , pros and cons,
Here’s something that I think hasn’t been in other reviews – The old give-away white paper 3D glasses use material similar to lighting gels (search for “theatrical lighting gels”). These are very light and thin. Some people will see less “ghosting” because the difference between the amount of light getting through each lens is pretty small, because both gels are so transparent. They are flimsy, though, and hard to store, easy to tear, and the lenses themselves are often (to me) not big enough, and don’t cover all my vision.
The plastic frame 3D glasses (like Gems and Proview) often have rigid lenses, are sturdier, and are more comfortable to wear. The lenses are almost always larger, compared to the size of my eyes, than the paper glasses. Covering more of my vision with the lens makes it more immersive.
The rigid lenses are thicker and less transparent than the gels. The problem is not COLOR matching, but transparency, the amount of light getting through. The difference between the red and blue (red and cyan) is much bigger, and the red lens is probably darker. Not much to do about this, except recalibrate your color, brightness, and contrast settings when you change the brand of glasses you use.

|Very comfortable and affordable…,
The paper ones were hurting my ears, and the lens part on those were usually too small for me, where I could see the carboard around the edges. With these, they’re very comfortable, and now I don’t have any lines/edges around what I’m viewing. They do the job and do it well, especially for the price.

|Great product!,
I bought these glasses for my 5 yr. old son… Excellent product quality, very comfortable to wear for my son and over my prescription glasses! Definitly would buy again.
